Eight international vloggers from the U.K, India, Brazil, Russia, Egypt, Montenegro, Thailand, and Italy embarked on the Greenwise Xplore Road Trip on July 9, exploring green technologies in Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Guangzhou through July 11.
Starting from BYD’s headquarters in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, they are driving BYD’s Denza N9 and Fang Cheng Bao Bao 8 new energy vehicles, equipped with the Lingyuan vehicle-mounted drone system, on this journey across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The vloggers, on a fleet of BYD’s Denza N9 and Fang Cheng Bao Bao 8 new energy vehicles, start their journey from BYD’s headquarters in Pingshan District on July 9.
Guided by the Information Office of Shenzhen Municipal Government, the event is co-organized by EyeShenzhen of Shenzhen News Group, in collaboration with the Publicity Department of the CPC Pingshan District Committee and BYD Co. Ltd.
The trip has received support from Shenzhen Energy Corporation, China Southern Power Grid News Center, Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau, Zhuhai Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone Science and Technology Innovation and Commerce Bureau, Southern Offshore Wind Power Development Co. Ltd., Honor Device Co. Ltd., and Shenzhen Timekettle Technology Co. Ltd.
Prior to the journey, the vloggers experienced BYD’s cutting-edge technologies, including the Lingyuan system, which integrates a vehicle-mounted drone and 4K high-resolution camera. Equipped with advanced algorithm, it can produce videos instantly.

“I am interested in using the drone from the vehicle. I’ve seen this technology before, but not yet had the opportunity to try it for myself. As someone who enjoys flying drones, this will be a great opportunity to test it for myself,” said British vlogger Lee Barrett.
“The drone system sounds like a fun and futuristic bonus in this trip,” said Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassador Mahmoud Hamdy Mahmoud Ahmed from Egypt.
“Imagine filming scenic or environmental landmarks from the air while driving! I absolutely can’t wait!” said Gloria D’Andrea, an Italian student at Shenzhen Polytechnic University.

The trip also includes visits to Shenzhen Nanshan Energy Ecological Park, where participants will observe waste treatment technologies; Zhuhai Guishan Offshore Wind Farm, to witness clean energy generation; Guangzhou Nansha Xiaohu Island Electric-Hydrogen Smart Energy Station, to learn about breakthroughs in hydrogen energy; and Lieqiao Substation, also known as Guangzhou Power Box Science Center, which features green architecture and innovative functions.
These iconic green technology sites in the GBA showcase China’s ingenuity in achieving its dual carbon goals.

The participating vloggers are popular creators on various platforms such as Douyin, Bilibili, YouTube, and Instagram. They will share videos about technologies and experiences across social media, showcasing innovations in new energy technology in the GBA — from research and development to production and application. They will offer global audiences unique insights into China’s pioneering achievements and sustainable development concepts.
The event will receive extensive international coverage in multiple languages, providing audiences with a comprehensive view of China’s future in new energy technology. Topics like #GreenwiseXploreRoadTrip are trending across international social media platforms.
